Mr. John Withers

About

John Withers is Managing Director of Priority International and a licensed private investigator with more than three decades of experience in professional investigations.

He joined Priority International in 1991, completing five years of investigative training across Dublin, Cork, Belfast and London before progressing to lead the company as Managing Director in 2013.

John specialises in corporate intelligence, investigative research, asset tracing, background investigations, open-source intelligence (OSINT) and international investigative assignments. He is a Certified International Investigator and holds the Open-Source Certified designation from the OSMOSIS Association.

John is President of the Council of International Investigators (CII) for 2026–2027, having previously served as Secretary and Regional Director for Ireland and the United Kingdom. He also serves as Secretary and Committee Member of the Irish Professional Private Investigators Association.

His contribution to the investigative profession has been recognised with two CII Malcolm W. Thomson Memorial Awards for Regional Director of the Year, in 2019 and 2024.

With extensive experience coordinating investigations across multiple jurisdictions, John places particular emphasis on professional integrity, discretion, rigorous research and trusted international collaboration.
